PV Sindhu lost her second straight BWF World Championship final as she went down 19-21, 10-21 to Carolina Marin of Spain. This is Spaniard’s third World title having won the tournament back in 2014 and 2015. Sindhu started brightly and at one point lead by as many as five points in the first game but she wasn’t able to keep the intensity up as Marin took the first game 19-21. It was all downhill for Sindhu in the second game as she never got going and lost 10-21.

This is Sindhu’s second final of the competition.She lost to Nozomi Okuhara in the final last year. The 23-year-old will be looking to make amends for her loss by winning the title this year.
